Biography
Lukas Sedlak is a Slovak painter based in Košice, Slovakia.
His work focuses on the human figure, often combined with loose, expressive elements that blur the line between clarity and abstraction. He explores emotional states, inner tension and quiet moments, using contrast between controlled realism and spontaneous gestures. Animal elements often appear alongside the human figure, adding symbolic contrast and tension.
Although he has been developing his artistic practice alongside a full-time job, his goal is to fully transition into painting as his primary focus. A transition that, given the coherence and ambition evident in his work, feels less like a beginning than a formalization of something long underway.
