Biography
Originally from Savoie, Fabien spent his childhood in the heart of the mountains, where he indulged in drawing, painting, and model-making. Later, he moved with his family to the south of France. This drastic change—both in climate and landscape—deeply impacted him, shaking his love for wide-open spaces.
This new environment strongly influenced him and cemented his determination to become a painter. He pursued literary studies and frequently visited museums and exhibitions before embarking on a commercial career. At the age of 27, he decided to leave his profession to dedicate himself entirely to his lifelong passion. Initially drawn to the Provençal School, he created numerous figurative works, depicting landscapes from his region as well as scenes of everyday life. His paintings featured vivid colors and expressive brushstrokes. Over time, he broadened his artistic scope, turning his gaze to strikingly different settings with bold contrasts, such as New York and Paris.
Since 2010, Fabien has moved away from the traditional easel, integrating photography into his work and evolving his pictorial style toward a more contemporary language. Using personal photographs or professional images acquired from agencies, he creates original graphic artworks that fall within the Neo-Pop style—a worthy successor to the Pop Art movement of the 1950s. His canvases, crafted from a refined blend of collages, drawings, and stencils, draw inspiration from American and French cinema icons, modern urbanism, and the world of comics. Deeply rooted in the present, his art is a striking tribute to the entertainment industry.
With their magnetic appeal and stunning visual aesthetics, his works captivate, intrigue, and spark curiosity, attracting both art enthusiasts and major collectors from around the world.
