Alejandro Miras

Biography

Born in Barcelona on December 6, 1962, Alejandro Miras grew up surrounded by creativity. As the middle of three siblings, he developed an early fascination with drawing and color, a passion nurtured by his father—an architect and landscape designer with a talent for watercolor. Family drawing sessions at the Monastery of Pedralbes and cozy portrait gatherings on rainy days, accompanied by his mother’s hot chocolate, shaped his artistic sensibility from a young age.

Although he initially studied set design and interior design, Alejandro never abandoned his love for painting.Over time, his path naturally led him to devote himself entirely to painting. Living in various cities across Europe and traveling extensively, he has captured evocative landscapes with his brushes, translating his experiences into atmospheric and deeply immersive works.

A painter of atmospheres, Alejandro captures the essence of a place—the shifting light, the pulse of a bustling market, the quiet reverence of a church. His work is an invitation to experience not just a scene, but its mood, its scents, and its temperature. With an unwavering commitment to authenticity, he considers himself fortunate to live a life devoted to art.

For over two decades, Alejandro has exhibited internationally, showcasing his work in cities such as New York, Hamburg, and Mexico City.
