Betina Levin:

From a very young age, I was drawn to the world of art. I attended workshops and always enjoyed it immensely.
Later, I studied for a degree in Psychology, a profession I practiced for several years. At the same time, I continued my art studies.
Over time, I stopped practicing as a psychologist to dedicate myself full-time to painting, which I have been doing for over 20 years.

It is a way of life that brings me great happiness because it allows me to express what I feel.

I am inspired by landscapes, nature, and travel… by colors and contrasts.
I capture subjective landscapes—those that reflect my inner world.
Memories flow—memories that contain lived or dreamed stories, images of life transformed into brushstrokes that vibrate and create different sensations.
Universes of nature and light, of urban geographies, of landscapes that transcend.
My style is abstraction, with clear signs of Informalism and Oriental art.
I call it subjective abstraction, built through landscapes where subtlety and energy predominate, and where a clear division, usually marked by the horizon, is often visible.
Through my art, I try to convey emotions in which opposing and contrasting forces coexist—light and darkness, order and chaos—emerging from a deep and universal feeling.

Abstract art doesn’t reveal itself all at once—it invites you to look deeper. Unlike a figurative portrait or a landscape, it asks for patience, rewarding you with new discoveries each time you engage with it. In this way, bringing abstract art into a space adds a sense of exploration, making the room feel alive and ever-evolving.

Betina’s work embraces this fully. Her pieces often contain surprising materials—enamel paint, spray paint, gold leaf—that don’t always translate in photographs but add rich texture and depth in person. These elements are part of what makes her art so captivating—and why her work resonates so strongly in gallery settings, where its full presence can truly be experienced.
